Ados Resamax Structural Adhesive

ADOS Structural Adhesive is a superior one-to-one mix adhesive for permanent marine, industrial and general applications. It will out-perform most other adhesives in the area of straight and physical bonding. Because of the gap filling qualities it will bridge and strengthen irregular joins. Can be painted over, milled, tapped, screwed and sawn when cured. Non-slump high impact resistance.

For use on: Boat construction, building, home and DIY repairs, timber (cedar core, diagonal planking), steel, aluminium and GRP. Building up male/female moulds in GRP applications. All applications where a resilient, gap filling, structural adhesive is required. As a tailing compound when feather edging concrete ramps that take the weight of heavy traffic (forkhoists, etc.). Sealing gaps in metal and composite fabrication.

Features:

• Cost effectiveness - ADOS Structural Adhesive, being a one to one ratio, ensures correct mixing each time. Entire contents do not have to be mixed, only enough for the immediate job. A major cost saving!
• Appearance - A pregelled light coloured resin and hardener which have a similar shade to timbers. May be varnished over without spoiling the natural timber effect.
• Mixing Ratio (1:1) - Use one part resin to one part hardener by volume. Altering the ratio will result in slower cure and lower film strengths.
• Pot Life - 100gm mass at 20ºC, 35-40 mins.
• Cure - When mixed and applied correctly, will cure overnight at temperatures down to 5ºC. Full cure will take approximately 3-7 days. Can be accelerated by oven curing to 100ºC for 10-15 mins. Ideally in winter, a cover and an external source of heat should be used to warm the immediate work vicinity.
• Adhesion - ADOS Structural Adhesive is an epoxy-polyamide resin which has excellent adhesion to properly prepared timber, aluminium, steel, brick & masonry and GRP.
• Weather - ADOS Structural Adhesive is weather resistant, but if left unpainted it may chalk. This does not affect the total performance.
• Immersion - 100% water resistant. Should be over coated with ADOS All Purpose Resin below the water line.
• Chemical Resistance - Very good resistance to most chemicals in use in garage, factory, milk treatment and industrial plants. Very good hydrocarbon resistance. Very good abrasion resistance.

Ados Resamax Epoxy Mortar

Resamax Epoxy Mortar is a two part silica based epoxy. Once mixed, the workable putty forms permanent watertight repairs to concrete, brick, mortar and plaster. Can be applied with a hand trowel. In cured form Resamax Epoxy Mortar is many times harder and more impact resistant than concrete. Once cured it is the colour of new concrete.

When mixed, Resamax Epoxy Mortar has a similar consistency and colour to new concrete. It is generally not possible to tell the difference between epoxy mortar and concrete. Excellent chemical resistance, UV resistant.

Blends with new concrete, permanently repairing cracks on concrete paths, work areas. Can be used as a forming compound for concrete products, grouting in industrial clean rooms or chemical usage areas.

Features:

• Cure: 20°C overnight. Total cure is effected over 3-4 days. May be accelerated by post curing at 60°C for 2-3 hours. Do not use in temperatures below 4°C.
• Hold Up: In thick film, excellent. Resamax Epoxy Mortar has an inherent thixotropic aspect, and exhibits no slump during the cure process.

Epiglue

Is a non staining, high-strength, gap-filling two component epoxy resin adhesive. Epiglue only requires to be mixed with its hardener, at two parts resin to one part of hardener by volume. Available in Pop Tops that contain Fast hardener.  For Clean up use Epoxy Thinners #7.
