These green discs are constructed of a high-performance aluminum oxide mineral. They are primarily used for rust removal and light dry sanding of metal surfaces. To be used on machine or on special 3M hand tools. These discs utilize the convenient hook-and-loop attachment system for easy placement on and removal from the tool face. 7 Hole for dust extraction.

3M 255P Hookit Discs

These gold discs are constructed of a high performance aluminum oxide mineral strongly bonded on a C weight backing. Cut fast, last long, and leave a consistent finish. Used to sand marine paints, gelcoats, epoxy and primers. These discs utilize the convenient hook-and-loop attachment system for easy placement on and removal from the tool face. 15 Hole configuration for efficient dust extraction and long life of the disc.

3M 260L Finishing Film Hookit Discs

Hookit Dust-Free Finishing Film Discs are designed for use in scuff sanding before painting, as well as to remove runs, dust nibs, and excess orange peel from paint and gelcoat prior to compounding. 3M 260L Hookit Dust-Free Film Discs are pre-punched with standard 7 hole patterns for dust-free sanding and are designed to be used with Hookit Dust-Free Disc Pads. These discs allow for machine sanding versus having to hand sand prior to compounding or using very aggressive compounds (multiple applications of). These discs are constructed of a high performance, aluminium oxide mineral bonding to a smooth film backing. Cuts fast, lasts long, resists loading and leaves a consistent finish. To be used with the 3M Soft Interface Pad.

3M Trizact Hookit Clear Coat Sanding Discs

Scratch-free sanding for the perfect surface finish.

To help workshops achieve speedy removal of paint defects such as nibs and orange peel, 3M has added a P1500 version to its Hookit Trizact Abrasive Discs.

Sanding large areas with a traditional P1500 disc can risk creating deep scratches that are tough and time consuming to polish out. The Trizact Abrasive Material guarantees even wear and long life. As the abrasive is used, fresh, sharp minerals are continuously exposed, resulting in a consistently fine keying depth throughout the sanding operation, no matter how large the area. Used damp, the Hookit Trizact Clear Coat Sanding Disc reduces dust production and premature loading.

Sanding with the P1500 disc should be followed by the 3M Hookit Trizact P3000 Sanding Disc, then finished by polishing using the 3M™ Perfect-it™ III Colour Coded Paint Rectification System.

3M Red Hookit Discs

Each disc uses silicon carbide as abrasive mineral and a polyester film for the abrasive backing. When used properly, these discs provide a perfect finish on a wide variety of substrates.

Used with a standard Hookit™ Back-Up Pad, conformability is increased, allowing the technician to follow contours and get in closer to most edges. Constructed of soft durable foam these pads can be used with both dust free and non-dust free discs to improve abrasive cut and finish.
